THE
Patriarchs
WRITTEN X R.R. ZBIK
The Patriarchs deals with the relationship between fathers and sons, and explores the roles that fate and circumstance can play in a person’s life.
Tim Roberts is a family man. A loving and caring father of two and a husband to a sick wife. All seems idealistic until we discover the true means to Tim’s financial success, and his eventual downfall and public outing by a scorned partner that leaves the family in shambles. His deviant path and eventual downfall serve merely as a catalyst from which the real focus of the story emerges.
Twenty years later, Tom Roberts is struggling to cope with his identity and providing for his family. On the opposite side of the law, helpless and caving under the burden of the household, Tom faces the same decisions as his father and finally learns the truth behind his madness. When the former associate enters the picture with a hold on the family, Tom must right the wrongs of the past and free them once and for all.
